DNA vs Standard
Standard NFC - NTAG 213
The NTAG 213 is a standard NFC tag primarily designed for identification and data storage, such as URLs or unique identifiers.
It is simple, cost-effective, and can be paired with a QR code.
Tag content can be read without cryptographic authentication. Therefore, the UID or application data alone do not provide proof of scan authenticity.
NFC DNA - NTAG 424 DNA
The NTAG 424 DNA combines standard NFC functionality with advanced cryptographic security mechanisms.
It generates dynamic and verifiable data during scanning, enabling the owner to verify that the tag is genuine rather than a clone.
It is particularly suited to products and applications where clone prevention and scan authenticity verification are essential.
A QR code cannot be associated with a DNA tag because the data generated changes with every scan.
