Choose what happens after every scan
Connect Tags and GS1 Digital Links to the right page, service, or digital profile, then manage that experience from one place.
A Destination defines the content or service a person accesses after scanning a Tag or GS1 Digital Link. Create a Destination first, then assign it to one or more Tags or Digital Links. The same Destination can be reused across multiple items.
Which Destination should you use?β
Redirect
Send visitors to an existing website, landing page, application, or other URL.
Product Profile
Present product information in a structured digital page.
Business Profile
Share a digital business card with contact details and visitor actions.
Asset Management
Connect a physical asset to its technical profile and maintenance information.
| Destination type | Best starting point | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Redirect | You already have the page or service visitors should open. | Redirect |
| Product Profile | You want a dedicated digital page for a product. | Product Profile |
| Business Profile | You want to share a person or business's contact information. | Business Profiles |
| Asset Management | You need a profile for equipment, machinery, or another physical asset. | Asset Management |
Assign and reuse a Destinationβ
After creating a Destination, assign it to the relevant Tags or GS1 Digital Links. Multiple items can share one Destinationβfor example, several Tags in a campaign can point to the same Redirect or Product Profile.
Destinations are managed separately from the physical Tags and the GS1 identifiers. You can change the assigned Destination or update its managed content without replacing the physical carrier, as long as it continues to use its TagLink link.
Reuse a digital experience where it makes sense, while managing which Tags and Digital Links lead to it from TagLink.
See Editing Tags for assigning a Destination to an individual Tag or to multiple selected Tags.
